Camera Critter Saturday - American Goldfinch

I was working out in my future garden/feeding area and had the feeling it was time for a break. It didn't take long for the American Goldfinches to decide it was lunch time. These are non-breeding colored males. As we get closer to spring, they will put on more and more yellow.

Swim Time

It has been in the mid 70's most of the week, so the kids (and the neighbor kids) decided it was time. Time for swimming that is. This is the first dip of 2011. The water is only in the 60's so it was a bit chilly but the kids stayed in for a little over half an hour.

Sky Watch Friday - Navarre to Destin Set 1

This is part of a set of photos taken in between Navarre and Destin. This includes photos from Fort Walton and Mary Esther. In other words, they are part of a photographic north Florida Gulf tour. I hope you enjoy them.

Sand drifting across the beach and road. Almost reminds me of the snow in Michigan that we are not getting down here.

Our Dream House on Navarre Beach. Anyone have $800,000 laying around they want to donate to a charitable cause? It looks small, but it actually has three bedrooms, 2 baths and a studio loft on the top floor.

Some of the aircraft that we regularly see in the area. My husband informs me the double propelled helicopter/jet hybrid is called an Osprey.

Back to Blogging

Did anyone out there miss me? After blogging almost every day in December, I guess I needed a break. Anyhow, I am back for a while. At least I am here until I decide to take another 2 month break. *Laughing*

Since I had to give the above explanation, this is a semi wordless post. Enjoy the following bird photos from earlier this afternoon, Northern Cardinal and Yellow-Rumped Warbler.
