poor jellyfish. One time in TX before I knew they could still sting after they are caught up on land, I ran through some jellyfish on North Padre......not ever gonna do that dumb thing again. ouch, ouch, ouch. The Olde Bagg, Linda

The Jelly in the last photo, looked like it may be still alive. So my husband used a piece of driftwood; and flipped it back into the Gulf. Hopefully it survived.

That does sound like an "owie" Linda. Yes, don't do that again. :)

Jellyfish are fascinating creatures. The first time I saw them in the wild en masse... was in Alaska! Who knew that some varieties thrive in cold water?

Be careful! I saw a special last fall about how the iricangi (sp) box jellies were now in coastal US waters .... bad bad bad.
